Sefirat Ha'Omer 2025

We currently find ourselves in the season known as the sefirat ha’omer, the counting of the omer, as we count up towards Shavuot from the Feast of Yom HaBikkurim! We are commanded to count 7 full weeks, with the 50th day declared as Shavuot – the festival which commemorates both the timing of Israel’s encounter at Sinai to receive the Torah, as well as the outpouring of the Ruach to those gathered in the upper in the book of Acts! This season seems to be quite crucial regarding a necessary preparation before arriving at Shavuot – the season where we are given the opportunity to take on Covenant responsibilities and be imbued with the authority and power necessary to walk as the covenant heir.
