Shavuot 2025

We /ind ourselves quickly approaching the scheduled appointment of Shavuot as we diligently count the omer , the 50 days of preparation, introspection, and renewal! For 7 weeks we are admonished to count daily, to prepare ourselves to enter through this doorway. Once again it is important to note that Shavuot is the 2nd of the 3 “feasts” – Chaggim, a distinct aspect given in addition to being one of the 7 “feasts” or mo’edim. What is the purpose of this distinction, and could it reveal a deeper aspect of what the encounter of Shavuot is designed for?
